A ministry team, led by Robert Ssaaka, the Project Manager of the Integrated Personnel and Payroll System (IPPS) have unveiled a report on Pension and Gratuity Management Process Improvement at the Stakeholders’ Consultative Workshop held at the Civil Service College in Jinja, between 7 and 11 May 2018.

The report, approved by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Catherine Bitarakwate Musingwiire gives a detailed background, recommendations and implementation plan, among others, of how the ministry would improve the pension and gratuity management process.

According to the report, in 2016, the Government of Uganda took a decision to replace the current IPPS (a computerized Human Resource Management Information System, which is being implemented in Ministries, Local Governments and other government departments), platform with a new Human Capital Management System (HCM) that facilitates full automation of all human resource management functions.
