Why is inspection important to government?

lynbwiza Staff asked 2 years ago
It’s a framework for monitoring the:

  • level of compliance with government laws, regulations and procedures,
  • adequacy of internal controls,
  • accuracy and propriety of transactions,
  • safeguard and accountability for assets and,
  • provides opportunity for coaching and support supervision
  • Organizations that comply with the established policies, standards, systems and processes are likely to be more focused to the objectives for which they exist and to be more responsive to the needs of service recipients.
  • Inspection ascertains the difference between the practice on the ground and the expectations, and provides opportunity for identifying priority areas for improvement.
