All persons intending to carry out research at the NRCA have to seek clearance from the National Council for Science and Technology (NCST) in conformity with the Section 4(d) of the Uganda National Council for Science and Technology Act (Cap. 209) and pay fees as follows:
- Foreign researchers – USD 300.
- Nationals – USD 300.
- National Students on Masters Programme and PHD – USD 50.
- All persons intending to visit or tour the NRCA and National undergraduate students interested in undertaking academic research are required to write to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Public Service for authorization.
- Services to National under graduate students are free of charge.
- Study tours/visits to NRCA are free of charge.
